connectDesk has two parts: a versatile client app that’s installed on your devices, and a server for your client app to connect to.
The client app
The client app is used to shared your computer desktop, or to view another computer desktop. The app can run on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android.
What’s different with connectDesk is that you can tell the client app to use a specific server for relaying and viewing your shared desktop. This is done using a pre-shared server name and key. There are several ways to distribute a server name and key, making setup a breeze.
The server
The server is used for multiple client apps to signal where they are on the Internet, and to provide a relay service for a fast, interruption-free connection between your remote screen and wherever you are in the world. connectDesk provides virtual servers specifically for your organization, so that your signal and relay traffic is limited only to those who you invite.
